Passengers arrive at Gelendzhik Airport to check in for a flight to Moscow
Passengers began to be launched to Gelendzhik Airport for a flight to Moscow. The corresponding footage is published by Izvestia on July 18.
In the footage, you can see the check-in counters working for passengers who are preparing to fly on the first flight to the capital of the Russian Federation after the opening of the airspace.
Passengers said that the new airport had given them positive impressions.
"I watched it being built. They started laying it about five years ago. They looked at it with surprise. We watched, we waited. And when it was built, it was suddenly banned. It was a shame. So now I'm going to study architecture and the airport with interest," one of the passengers told Izvestia.
Earlier that day, the first scheduled flight in several years took off from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport to Gelendzhik. The Airbus A321 aircraft of the Russian airline Aeroflot left the airport at 11:34 Moscow time.
Prior to this, it was reported that the opening of the airport in Gelendzhik caused a stir among tourists. Tickets for the first and next flights were sold out after the start of sales. Tour operators note that the demand for bookings in Gelendzhik has increased by 30% in the last week alone.
