The investigation has completed the investigation of criminal cases against Vladimir Golovchenko, Ivan Paskar and Rostislav Zhuravlev, who are accused of committing a terrorist act on the Korovinsky highway in Moscow in April last year. This was announced on July 18 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF) Svetlana Petrenko.

"The investigation of the criminal cases against Vladimir Golovchenko, Ivan Paskar and Rostislav Zhuravlev has been completed. Depending on the role of each, they are accused of committing crimes under clauses "a" and "b" of Part 2 of Article 205, Part 4 of Article 222.1, Part 3 of Article 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," the material says.

According to the press service of the department, the organizers operated from the territory of Ukraine. They chose an ex-employee of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) living in Moscow, who exposed the illegal activities of armed formations of the Ukrainian special services, as the target for the terrorist attack.

The defendants began their preparations for the crime in February 2022, having developed a detailed plan involving accomplices who agreed to commit a terrorist attack for a fee. Golovchenko, Paskar and Zhuravlev were monitoring the victim and his car.

In April 2024, Golovchenko placed an explosive device under the car of a former SBU officer. As a result, he was injured, and damage in the amount of 5 million rubles was also caused.

"As part of the investigation of the criminal case, the investigators of the capital's Investigative Committee conducted a complex of investigative actions, collected a significant amount of evidence incriminating the defendants in the crime. The evidence base is based on the conclusion of an explosive expertise, an analysis of money transfers, video recordings from surveillance cameras, testimony from witnesses and victims, confessions of defendants and the results of operational investigative activities," Petrenko added.

Criminal cases have been sent for transfer to court. The organizers of the terrorist attack are wanted.

On April 12 last year, the investigation opened a criminal case after the explosion of a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV in the capital in the parking lot of a house in the Zapadnoye Degunino district. It was noted that ex-SBU officer Prozorov was in the car. The incident occurred while turning on the ignition, as a result of which the owner of the car injured his leg.
