The plan of the European Union and NATO countries to defeat Russia, which is a nuclear superpower, with the help of Ukraine is insane. This was announced on July 17 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

"Even if the West helps them [Ukrainians] financially, they will always have less money. Their military industry is decades behind Russia's. The Russians are a nuclear superpower, and no one has defeated a nuclear superpower anywhere. <...> How will Ukrainians defeat Russia on the front line? <...> I think it's crazy," he said in an interview with the Ultrahang Internet portal.

Orban also said that, in his opinion, Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump can put an end to the current conflict by signing a Russian-American agreement at the negotiating table.

"Until the Russian and American presidents sit down at the negotiating table and a Russian-American agreement is reached <...> Until such an agreement is reached as a result of personal negotiations between the presidents of Russia and the United States, the conflict will not end," he said.

The Hungarian Prime Minister clarified that in addition to the cease-fire, other issues should be included in the text of the potential agreement, such as energy prices, access to Russian and American markets, economic sanctions, technology and arms limitation.

On July 16, Orban called the European nations the "biggest losers" from the EU budget plan, according to which financing for Hungarian and European farmers may be reduced in order to transfer the saved funds to Ukraine.
