At least 25 people, including six children, drowned during the celebration of the national Naadam festival in Mongolia. This was reported on July 17 by the Xinhua news Agency, citing the republic's police.

"In six days, at least 25 people, including six children, have died as a result of water—related accidents across the country," the publication says.

It is specified that the main causes of death of people were bathing under the influence of alcohol and leaving children unattended.

The Times of India newspaper reported on June 29 that a massive stampede took place in the Indian city of Puri at the largest Hindu festival Jagannath Rath Yatra, as a result of which three people died. More than 50 were injured.
