The actions of women and men after parting are named
Almost half of women (42%) sometimes look into the stories of their exes out of nostalgia or curiosity, and 20% do it regularly. Among men, 31% show occasional interest, and 21% follow their ex-partners all the time. This follows from an analysis of the Mamba dating service, the results of which appeared on July 18 at the disposal of Izvestia.
Research shows that women are more likely to perceive spying on exes as an alarming signal about unresolved issues, while men tend to romanticize such behavior, viewing it as nostalgia. One in five respondents considers surveillance to be a bad habit.
As for new ex-relationships, 42% of women say they don't care, but 24% are still interested in who took their place.
"Men show a more indifferent attitude: 55% declare complete indifference to the new partner of the former. Nevertheless, 23% are still interested in who their ex-girlfriend is with now, and 18% satisfy their curiosity with a couple of profile views," the study says.
After a breakup, most people prefer not to communicate with ex-partners: 44% of women and 40% of men do not want to correspond. However, nostalgia sometimes takes over, and a quarter of respondents may write to their ex under the influence of emotions. If the ex-partners decide to resume communication, a third of the respondents require explanations about the purpose of the message.
It is noted that men are more likely to maintain friendly ties with their exes, but many consider further communication to be an obstacle to moving forward. Most respondents prefer to leave shared photos on social media as part of their story, although many delete them immediately after a breakup or after a while.
Earlier, on April 23, it was reported that modern Russians are increasingly using psychological compatibility as the main criterion for choosing a partner. Thus, 88% of women and 82% of men check the psychotype of a potential life partner before starting a serious relationship.
