Russia, with the mediation of Qatar, helped 11 children to reunite with relatives in Ukraine. This was announced on July 17 by Maria Lvova-Belova, the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights.

"On behalf of the head of state [Vladimir Putin], we continue our work to reunite children with their loved ones in Russia, Ukraine and other countries. 11 children from seven families are reuniting with relatives in Ukraine," she wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to her, the situations in which a family is separated from their loved ones are different for everyone. She also added that at present, the preparation of documents and other processes necessary for reunification are already over, and the children will soon be with their relatives.

Lvova-Belova reported on July 16 that a 13-year-old boy had been returned to Russia from Ukraine through the mediation of Qatar. It was noted that the child had been living with his grandmother in Ukraine since 2016, but the family and the boy himself expressed a desire to reunite in Russia.
