Belarus wants to take a more active part in the creation of the Russian Space Station (ROS). This was stated on July 16 at a press conference by the Head of the Department of Aerospace Activities of the Office of the National Academy of Sciences of the State, Academician Peter Vityaz.

"I think the ISS will end its existence in 2028. A new station, ROS, is to be launched into orbit. It is currently being prepared, and we would like to participate more actively in this process," Sputnik Belarus quoted the academician as saying.

According to him, Belarus also wants to actively participate with Russia and China in the lunar program.

In addition, the state has the prospect, in addition to remote sensing of the Earth, of near and far space. At the moment, Belarus is implementing the Complex-SG program. As part of it, three satellites are being prepared, which will be launched in 2027.

Earlier, on June 12, Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of the Roscosmos state Corporation, announced that the company plans to scale the orbital constellation to increase the speed of broadband Internet access, as well as improve rockets and spacecraft. So, one of the tasks in this direction, he called the creation of a new Russian orbital station, which will replace the ISS.
