The readiness of the renovated school No. 5 in Krasnokamensk has exceeded 50%
In the city of Krasnokamensk in the Trans-Baikal Territory, the overhaul of school No. 5 continues. Half of the work has been completed, the press service of the regional government reports.
As of July 16, the contractor has completed about 55% of the planned work. Among them are the repair of the foundation and basement, renovation of the roof, floors and ceilings.
The school also needs to replace windows and doors, repair the heating and ventilation system, and perform a number of other works. The purchase of new equipment and furniture is also envisaged, according to ChitaMedia news agency.
Thus, more than 11.8 million rubles have been allocated for equipping the school. They will purchase equipment for chemistry, physics, biology, labor and housing classrooms, as well as furniture for classrooms and everything necessary for the operation of a medical room and a food store. Another 5.4 million rubles will be used to install outdoor lighting and fencing around the school, and 2.6 million will be used to purchase textbooks.
School No. 5 was built in Krasnokamensk in 1976, and has not been renovated since. The building is designed to accommodate 750 children, but in fact 793 children study in it.
