An eyewitness told about the consequences of a gas explosion in a building near Novosibirsk

As a result of a gas explosion in a residential building near Novosibirsk, glass was broken in a neighboring house. Tatiana, an eyewitness to the incident, told Izvestia about this on July 16.

The woman clarified that she lives opposite the building where the cotton occurred. She was at home with her daughter at the time of the incident.

"The explosion wasn't very loud, it was more muffled, but it was loud because the glass was broken. <...> The tiles were slightly smashed in the kitchen," Tatiana shared, adding that several more windows were damaged by shards.

A gas explosion in an apartment building near Novosibirsk occurred on the morning of July 16. Shortly after, the Ministry of Health of the region reported that one person was killed and one injured due to the incident. As a result of the incident, a criminal case was opened under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements").
