Mishustin instructed to work on improving transport safety

Russia's transport system must become more secure and technologically advanced. This was announced on July 16 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with Viktor Gulin, head of Rostransnadzor.

"It is important to continue improving the technological and safe transport system, to help consolidate in practice, which is very important, our domestic solutions, including in the field of digital transformation, software," he said.

According to Mishustin, Rostransnadzor is responsible for all types of control and supervision in the field of transport, including air, freight, and metro, which is essential for passenger safety and injury prevention, as well as the preservation of goods and equipment. He pointed out the importance of maintaining transport safety through prevention.

In addition, the Prime Minister drew attention to the need to shift the focus to the conscientious adherence of businesses to all necessary measures. Mishustin believes that in Russia it is necessary to expand the practice based on encouraging enterprises to meet mandatory technical and technological requirements. According to the Prime Minister, such steps are an effective mechanism for improving the business climate, among other things.

On July 10, Mishustin instructed to update the draft strategy for the development of the automotive industry, taking into account the improvement of measures to support domestic enterprises. According to him, the relevant departments will also have to work out the issues of forming a technological map of cooperation between manufacturers of vehicles, automotive components and materials, and software developers.
