Siluanov spoke about the results of the implementation of the budget of the Russian Federation

On July 16, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov spoke about the results of the implementation of the budget of the Russian Federation during the plenary session of the Federation Council.

According to him, during the implementation of the last budget, several tasks were set: fulfilling obligations to citizens, technological development, infrastructure development, meeting the needs of the Russian army, supporting families of participants in a special military operation (SVO) and supporting the regions.

"We have fulfilled all that we had planned. <...> Everything that was budgeted for and all those obligations that were owed to citizens have been [fulfilled] in full," the Finance Minister said.

He stressed that new budget loans had been allocated to the regions. Much attention was paid to technological development, civil industry and agriculture, Siluanov added.

Where will this money come from and will it help reduce the deficit?

In June, the State Duma adopted in the third reading the law on amendments to the federal budget for 2025. According to them, the revenue figure will amount to 38,506.2 billion rubles, oil and gas revenues will reach 8,317.4 billion rubles, and non—oil and gas revenues will reach 30,188.8 billion rubles.
