"Active citizens" will decide what the Book in the City project will be
A vote has been launched on the Moscow digital project "Active Citizen", the results of which will affect the program of events of the urban project "Book in the City". This was reported on July 16 on the city portal of the capital. mos.ru .
Events within the framework of "Books in the City" are organized at three sites of the "Summer in Moscow" project — in Pushkin Square, at the Vitali Fountain and on Sretensky Boulevard. There are open-air libraries there. It is specified that the spaces are available from 12:00 to 22:00 from Tuesday to Sunday. Admission to the events is free.
"Residents of the capital can choose which of the presented event formats they like the most, as well as which professions they would like to meet with. In addition, the townspeople will suggest which prominent Muscovites should be invited to participate in public speaking," the publication says.
In addition, as part of the voting, users will talk about their reading habits, favorite places to read, and be able to choose a convenient book format. Thanks to the survey, the wishes and interests of Moscow residents will be taken into account when developing the program of the project's events.
Earlier, on July 15, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, noted the record interest of citizens in the Active Citizen project. Moscow residents took part in 7,000 votes and left over 300 million opinions.
