By denying the supply of missiles to Ukraine, US President Donald Trump is trying to show unwillingness to increase tensions with Russia. This was announced on July 15 by Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council.

"Trump tried to refute what he said in this way, or to show that he did not say such a thing. He also ruled out supplying Ukraine with JASSM missiles with a range of 300 to 900 km. He clearly wants to show that he does not want a sharp escalation in relations with Moscow," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

At the same time, he added that the latest statements by the head of the White House and his promises of new military assistance to Kiev are pushing the situation in the direction of increasing tension.

Trump, in an interview with reporters on July 15, ruled out supplying Ukraine with long-range missiles. On the same day, the American leader said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky should not talk about attacks on Moscow.
