The epidemic situation with measles in Russia has stabilized after a surge in the incidence between 2023 and 2024. This was announced on July 15 by the press service of Rospotrebnadzor.

"Thanks to rapid immunization according to epidemiological indications, more than 90% of measles foci are not widespread," the press service said in a Telegram channel.

It is clarified that the epidemic situation continues to be tense in many countries, but as early as April 2024, a decrease in cases of infection was registered in Russia. In 2025, mass vaccination and revaccination of citizens began, as a result of which about 560 thousand people were vaccinated.

On July 11, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor reported that the seasonal increase in the incidence of enterovirus infections (EVI) this year began earlier than usual and will peak in July-August. The ministry also noted that the situation with respiratory infections, measles and meningococcal infection in Russia has stabilized.
