The appearance of the channel system in the MAX messenger has aroused great interest in the Russian online media industry. This was announced on July 15 by Sergei Boyarsky, Chairman of the IT Committee of the State Duma.

"Yesterday's appearance of channels in the MAX messenger aroused great interest in the industry," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to him, media representatives expressed their willingness to help the Russian digital service in the development of this area.

At a meeting with representatives of the largest Russian online media, it was reported that today in Russia there is an outflow of readers from websites to other platforms.

It was also decided to create a unified approach to measuring media coverage on websites, platforms and social networks. It is assumed that such a "counter" can become an official standard for the industry.

On July 14, the messenger began testing channels, among which Izvestia, REN TV and Channel Five are available. Also, as part of the testing, channels of stars and bloggers appeared there, including writer Sergey Minaev, singer Klava Coca and designer Artemy Lebedev.

On July 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government, with the participation of the Bank of Russia, to support the development of the national digital service.
