President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday, July 15, signed a law suspending the Ottawa Convention prohibiting the use of anti-personnel mines for the country.
A law on the legalization of multiple citizenship was also signed.
In addition, Zelensky also announced in his Telegram channel that he had instructed Ukrainian officials to "immediately work out and adopt all by-laws to implement these laws."
On March 7, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Warsaw was considering withdrawing from the Ottawa Convention, as well as from the Dublin Convention on Cluster Munitions. He said that all neighbors have both types of weapons, for this reason Poland should also use available means to ensure security in the country.
