The new Aion car brand will appear in Russia

GAC company intends to bring its subsidiary brand Aion to the Russian market. This was announced by representatives of the Chinese automaker during the presentation of the new GAC models, the Izvestia correspondent reported on July 15.

"The Aion brand will appear on the Russian market. It is now entering the European markets," GAC representatives said.

The company has not yet disclosed the timing of the new brand's appearance and model range.

The fact that the Chinese concern GAC Motor has registered trademarks of the Aion brand in Russia was reported back in the spring of last year. The Aion car brand was first introduced at the Guangzhou Auto Show in 2018. The brand's first model, the Aion S sedan, entered the Chinese market in 2019. Currently, the line in the home market includes seven models — sedans, hatchbacks and crossovers.

Earlier, on July 9, Chinese automaker Beijing Automobile Works (BAW) announced its entry into the Russian market in the third quarter of 2025. Two models will go on sale — the BAW 212 frame SUV and the BAW MPV minivan.
