A criminal case was opened against the mother of an 11-year-old boy beaten with a bat.

A criminal case has been opened against a resident of Drozhzhino, whose son was beaten with a bat by her stepfather. This was announced on Monday, July 14, by the press service of the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

"The woman tortured her three children for a year. She systematically used physical violence against them with extreme cruelty. Thus, another criminal case has been initiated against her (paragraphs "a, g, d, e" of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the message says.

According to the court's decision, the accused was arrested until September 11, 2025.
