Aeroflot Airlines has allowed passengers to carry two pet containers in the cabin. This was announced on July 14 on the carrier's website.

"We accept cats, dogs, birds and other domesticated companion animals such as ferrets, ferrets, fenecks, lorises, raccoons, meerkats, foxes, decorative hedgehogs, mini rabbits, igrunki and other small primates for transportation," the message says.

Containers can be placed on the adjacent chair and under the seat. Up to three animals can be transported in each container. The innovation is valid on flights operated by Aeroflot and its subsidiary Rossiya Airlines.

According to the rules, the weight of the carrier under the seat should not exceed 8 kg, for the container on the next seat — no more than 15 kg. A request for pet transportation must be made no later than 36 hours before departure.

The service of placing an animal in a nearby chair was introduced in April 2024.

On July 10, it was reported that the Russian airline Aeroflot will begin operating daily flights from Moscow to Gelendzhik on July 18. The company clarified that additional flights were introduced due to the high demand for flights between these two cities.
