Actor Ugryumov called director Yuri Moroz a man of the kindest soul.
Director Yuri Moroz was a very kind person, pleasant to talk to both on set and in life. This was announced by People's Artist of Russia Sergey Ugryumov to Izvestia on Monday, July 14.
"This is the director I've always been pleased to meet, both in a casual setting and on set. A man of the kindest soul, there are few of them everywhere and there will always be a shortage of them. This is a very sad event, and my condolences to the family, friends, and our acting and film community. It's a great loss," said Ugryumov.
Another famous actor Maxim Vinogradov, who starred in Frost's film Fort Ross: In Search of Adventure, noted in an interview with Izvestia that the director has always remained a part of his heart.
"How he believes in the artist, how he charges, how he gushes with ideas! I am very grateful to you for what you have taught me, what you have shown by your example. On the set of Fort Ross, we traveled a lot and had various adventures. May you have a good time on this journey too, I believe. And here I will miss you," Vinogradov said.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Yuri Moroz died at the age of 69. Moroz graduated from the directing department of VGIK. He made his film debut in Sergei Gerasimov's historical dilogy "Peter's Youth" and "At the Beginning of Glorious Deeds." As a producer, he first appeared with the film "Arrival of the Train" in 1995.
