Since July 11, eight dead people, including two minors, have been recovered from reservoirs in the Republic of Bashkortostan. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the region on Monday, July 14.

It is specified that all the victims were relaxing on unequipped beaches.

"Eyewitnesses recovered a dead 26-year-old man from Lake Uzunkul near the village of Uzungulovo, Uchalinsky district. Previously, he jumped from the boat, being intoxicated, and disappeared from sight," the message says.

A 28-year-old man drowned in a pond near the village of Verkhny Tykhtem in the Kaltasinsky district. His body was removed from the reservoir by eyewitnesses of the incident. The bodies of 70-year-old and 42-year-old women were found in the Ai River in the village of Lagerevo, Salavatsky district. A high alcohol content was detected in their blood.

A 14-year-old boy died after drowning in the Belaya River in the village of Starokangyshevo, Dyurtyuli district. The body was pulled out of the water by rescuers.

Two people died in the same river, but near the village of Vostretsovo in the Burayevsky district. A 14-year-old girl began to drown, and her 41-year-old uncle rushed to save her. As a result, both died.

Fishermen noticed the body of a drowned man in the waters of Belaya in Meleuz.

In addition, one drowning man was rescued. A 47-year-old man was pulled from the Belaya River by eyewitnesses on Ak-Yar (Zaton) beach in Ufa. A rescue sailor provided first aid to the victim, then he was sent to the hospital.

The ministry stressed that operational and investigative measures have already been launched on the fact of each incident. The causes and circumstances of the incident are being established.

Earlier, on July 14, in the Republic of Mordovia, a woman and her daughter drowned while rescuing a 13-year-old child in the Moksha River.
