The National Hockey League (NHL) team defeated the players of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in the so-called "Match of the Year" on July 13 at the CSKA Arena in Moscow. The match ended with a crushing score of 15:3.

Vasily Podkolzin, Maxim Tsyplakov (twice), Artemy Panarin, Andrey Svechnikov, Vladislav Gavrikov, Pavel Buchnevich, Kirill Marchenko, Evgeni Malkin, Alexander Ovechkin, Kirill Kaprizov, Matvey Michkov and Andrey Kuzmenko scored goals for the NHL national team. The KHL score was formed by goals from Ilya Kovalchuk, Vitaly Kravtsov and Nikolai Goldobin.

The first period ended with a score of 5:3, the second — 7:0, the third — 3:0.

"The first such match took place in July 2024. The game ended in an 8-8 draw," Sport-Express added.
