The rapid development and massive supply of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have caused the freezing of the front line in Ukraine. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) wrote about this on July 13.

It is noted that the number of attacks using drones has begun to grow. Drones can not only deliver ammunition and medical supplies, but even evacuate the wounded or dead. However, as the newspaper notes, it is more important that they monitor any movements along the front line and are sent to strike at manpower and equipment.

According to the WSJ, the devices with a first—person view, FPV drones, had the greatest impact on the Ukrainian conflict. The newspaper stressed that their abundance played a key role in freezing the front line, as everything within a radius of about 20 km from the contact line can now become a target for the FPV.

On July 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the superiority of Russian developments over the technology of NATO countries. According to him, Western governments sending weapons to Ukraine should think about what they are spending money on.
