Ovechkin gave watches to all his teammates after the sniper record in the NHL
Alexander Ovechkin, the captain of the Washington Capitals hockey club, presented a Hublot watch to all representatives of the club in honor of the sniper record in the National Hockey League (NHL). This was announced on July 13 by Ovechkin's former teammate Lars Eller.
"Ovi bought a Hublot watch for everyone. Individual Hublot watches. It seems he even bought them for the coaches and staff, not just the players," Eller said on the Coming in Hot podcast on YouTube.
Alexander Ovechkin scored his 895th goal in the NHL regular season on April 6 in a match against the New York Islanders, breaking Wayne Gretzky's record of 894 goals scored. Washington's owner Ted Leonsis noted on May 18 that Ovechkin had written his name into history.
