SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched the Israeli Dror-1 communications satellite into geostationary transition orbit. This was announced on July 13 on the official SpaceX website.

"The Falcon 9 rocket launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Base [Florida] on Sunday <...> as part of the SpaceX mission called Commercial GTO-1," the publication says.

Dror-1 was created primarily on the basis of Israeli technologies developed by the Israeli Aviation Industry (IAI). The satellite includes an advanced digital communications payload and smartphone-in-space capabilities, which provides communication flexibility throughout the life of the satellite in space."

On June 28, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 heavy rocket with 27 Starlink broadband Internet satellites from the Florida spaceport. It is noted that in 2025 alone, the organization launched over 1,400 such satellites into low-Earth orbit.
