Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian suffered minor leg injuries as a result of an Israeli airstrike on Tehran. This was reported by the Fars news agency on July 13.

It is specified that the strike was carried out on the morning of June 16 during a meeting of the Supreme National Security Council of the country. The meeting was attended by the President of the Islamic Republic and other high-ranking officials.

"The terrorists fired six bombs or rockets at the entrances and exits of the building to block escape routes and block the air supply," the publication says.

The agency noted that the officials managed to escape through a pre-prepared escape hatch. However, some high-ranking officials, including Pezeshkian, "suffered minor leg injuries," the publication added.

On July 2, General Ahmad Vahidi, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said that in the event of a new attack from Israel, Iran would give a tougher response. According to him, the Islamic Republic has been able to prove its ability to protect its territorial integrity and the national interests of the country.
