The materials on the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein and other classified documents may be "made up" by senior representatives of the US Democratic Party. This was announced on July 12 by the American leader Donald Trump in his social network Truth Social.

"For years, it's Epstein, over and over again. Why are we publishing materials written by [44th US President Barack] Obama, corrupt Hillary [Clinton], [James] Comey, [John] Brennan and losers and criminals from the administration of [46th President Joe] Biden, who deceived the world with this fiction — "Russia, Russia, Russia", '51 intelligence agents,' 'laptop from hell,' and more?" he asked.

According to the politician, members of the Democratic Party created a dossier on Epstein "just like they created a fake dossier of Hillary Clinton or Christopher Steele," which they used against Trump.

The head of the United States noted that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) should focus not on Epstein's documents, but on catching criminals, combating corruption and investigating fraud in the 2020 elections, during which Joe Biden won.

"Why didn't these radical leftist crazies release the Epstein dossier? If there was anything there that could harm the MAGA movement (Make America great again, Trump's political slogan. — Ed.), why didn't they use it?" the US president wrote.

In 2019, Epstein was arrested on charges of organizing sex trafficking and involving minors in prostitution. A few months after his arrest, he committed suicide in a correctional center. In January 2024, the first part of the documents was published, containing the names of more than 150 people involved in the Epstein case. Among them were former US President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates. The Mirror reported on September 4 last year that visitors to the businessman's island were afraid that American leader Donald Trump would reveal their names.
