More than 22 thousand people were left without electricity in the Novgorod region
About 447 settlements of the Novgorod region, in which more than 22 thousand people live, were left without electricity due to strong winds and heavy rains. Alexander Dronov, Acting Governor of the Novgorod Region, announced this on July 12.
"The operational headquarters for ensuring the safety of electricity supply in the Novgorod region has been completed. As of 23:00, 477 settlements with more than 22 thousand people live without electricity," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Dronov noted that emergency recovery work will be carried out.
Earlier, on July 10, more than 14 thousand people were left without electricity due to a thunderstorm in the Novgorod region. It is noted that 51 high-voltage power transmission lines have been disconnected, 388 settlements remain without electricity.
