A freight elevator crushed to death a teenager who worked at an enterprise in Dagestan

In Makhachkala, a freight elevator fell on a minor employee of an enterprise, and a teenager died. This was announced on July 12 by the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Dagestan.

"In the elevator shaft of a commercial facility on Akushinsky Avenue in the city of Makhachkala, a freight elevator crushed a minor worker born in 2008," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

It is specified that the teenager died on the spot. The Prosecutor's Office is conducting an audit of compliance with the law on labor protection, as well as on the operation of elevator equipment.

Earlier, on June 11, a criminal case was opened in the Nadezhdinsky district of Primorsky Krai in connection with the fall of a 24-year-old worker into an elevator shaft of a building under construction.
