Rock festival "Fly Away" takes place in Udmurtia

Thousands of people from all over the country came to Udmurtia to not only enjoy nature, but also their favorite music at the rock festival "Fly Away". Over five days, about a hundred performers will perform on the festival stages. Izvestia correspondent Andrey Titov spoke about the atmosphere of the event.

Not only popular bands perform at the festival, but also rising stars, for whom this is a good springboard in their careers. As the leader of the NADY band, Nadezhda Gritskevich, noted, music needs a showcase.

"There is a huge difference between that time and now, because when we started, the audience was looking for a performer. It is much more difficult now, if we had started now, I think we would not have been able to," said Armen Grigoryan, leader of the Crematorium group.

The group "Crematorium" was one of the first headliners of the then-small "Flying Away". It's a big event right now. The REN TV channel is the general partner of the festival.

"Today it is one of the largest festivals. They have a large audience here, so they can make themselves known and move on. After all, we have people from various production companies here," says Stanislav Nepogodin, general producer of the Fly Away festival.

Nepogodin took the initiative to create a large festival in his homeland, Izhevsk. Turn out. Now it's an annual meeting place for rockers, and today he's also here as a performer.

"We look forward to the New Year. We are looking forward to the New Year more than ever, yes. That's why we come here every year, just for this festival," said a festival visitor.

A whole city of tents, people from all regions, meet here, dress up and celebrate birthdays, and come back again. Festival visitors note that they can "walk" their inner child here.

There are three venues organized at the festival: Yuzhnaya, where the teams that opened this festival came out, Zapadnaya, where young bands perform, and the main stage of REN TV, where headliners, including the F.P.G. band, perform.

"I want to say thank you to my favorite TV channel REN TV. We are happy to see how people sing along, shout and react to our performance," said Anton "Pooh" Pavlov, the leader of the F.P.G. group.

All genres of rock are represented on three stages, from the epic folk "Kalinov Bridge" to the alternative madness "Neil Sheri".

"The reception was great. A lot of people knew the songs, I even stopped singing so that people could sing better," said Nail Shariyazdanov, the leader of the Neil Sheri group.

Knyazz, Garik Sukachev, "Aria", "Seryoga", and "Mongol Shuudan" will also perform at the festival. On Sunday, Fly Away is the day of the stars, whose radiance will no longer be eclipsed.
