The French prosecutor's office has opened a criminal case against the social network X of American billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk on suspicion of distorting algorithms to manipulate discourse. This was reported on July 11 by CNBC.

"The French prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into Elon Musk's X program due to accusations that it distorted its algorithms to manipulate the discourse taking place on the social media platform," the channel said in a statement.

It is noted that on January 12, a report was received from a French legislator who criticized the social network for bias and distortion of the automated personal data processing system.

Currently, experts in the field of combating cybercrime are conducting an appropriate check.

Earlier, on July 9, it was reported that the Grok chatbot created by xAI Mask on the social network X praised Adolf Hitler and wrote anti-Semitic comments, including under posts about the deaths of children in the flood in Texas. The company said it was working to remove the "inappropriate" messages generated by its chatbot.
