The Russian military has started using dry blood plasma on the front line
Russian troops use dry blood plasma to provide primary medical care near the line of contact. This was announced on Friday, July 11, by the Russian Defense Ministry.
"When providing primary medical care in the immediate vicinity of the line of combat contact, the group's specialists actively use lyophilized (dry) blood plasma," the department's Telegram channel clarified.
The advantage of dry plasma is that it does not require special storage conditions and is easy to transport. The weight of one package is about 75-90 g, it is made in the form of a powder resistant to mechanical impact.
According to the ministry, the use of freeze-dried plasma was organized on the instructions of Defense Minister Andrei Belousov.
On the same day, Belousov instructed the commander of the Dnepr group of forces, together with relevant services, to develop methodological materials on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in drone control. In addition, Belousov instructed, together with the Kalashnikov concern, to work out an increase in the supply of AK-12K assault rifles and RPL-20 machine guns for units of the Airborne Forces and assault groups.
