The Kremlin commented on France's defense strategy in the Arctic

The Arctic should be a territory of cooperation. This was announced at a briefing on July 11 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on France's previously published defense strategy in the region.

"Indeed, the Arctic should be a territory of cooperation. Russia, being an Arctic power with its own natural interests in the Arctic, continues to explore these Arctic spaces and cooperates with many countries around the world in this area. And it will continue to do so," he stressed.
