A resident of Desnogorsk who called for the extermination of Russians received 2.5 years in a penal colony.

A resident of the city of Desnogorsk was brought to criminal responsibility for calls to use violence against the Russian people. This was announced on July 11 by the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Smolensk region.

It is specified that the man was detained in March 2025.

"According to this fact, the investigative department of the regional administration opened a criminal case against the attacker under Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of Russia," the material says.

In addition, the man criticized the conduct of a special military operation and demanded to influence it by destroying the leadership. This circumstance led to the initiation of another episode of the criminal case under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of Russia. According to the press service of the department, he was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison to serve his sentence in a general regime colony.

In addition, the man was deprived of the right to engage in activities related to the administration of websites. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.

Earlier, on July 8, a resident of the Chelyabinsk region was sentenced to 5.5 years for calling for terrorist attacks. It was clarified that the resident, being a supporter of a terrorist organization banned in the territory of the Russian Federation, posted comments in the public domain calling for illegal actions, including attacks on the lives of government officials.
