The talks between the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia took place earlier in the day. The meeting was attended by the deputy prime ministers of the two countries, foreign ministers and senior officials accompanying Aliyev and Pashinyan.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov praised their meeting. He stressed that Russia would also welcome the early signing of a peace treaty. According to him, the agreement will be an important factor that will bring predictability and stability to the region.
