Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio began a meeting in Kuala Lumpur. This was reported on June 10 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The foreign ministers are holding talks on the sidelines of ASEAN events. The last time they met in Riyadh on February 19, the delegations of the Russian Federation and the United States held talks.
