After the sinking of the Greek cargo ship Eternity, 19 crew members, including a Russian citizen, are missing. This was reported to Izvestia on July 10 by the Aspides naval mission of the European Union in the Red Sea.

It is noted that the ship's crew consisted of 22 people, including 21 Filipinos and one Russian, and a security team of three people.

"On the morning of July 9, a search and rescue operation began, conducted by a private company after coordination with the ASPIDES mission. At the moment, it is known that six crew members have been rescued from the water (five Filipinos and one Indian); 19 crew members are missing," the report says.

The day before, the US Embassy in Yemen reported that the Houthis had abducted the Eternity C crew, which included a Russian citizen.

On July 9, Ansar Allah spokesman Yahya Sariah announced that the Yemeni movement had claimed responsibility for the attack on Eternity C. He clarified that the strike was carried out using an unmanned boat and six cruise and ballistic missiles. According to him, the ship was attacked in connection with ignoring the ban on activities in the port of Umm al-Rashrash, which is located in Palestine.

On board, among the crew members was a Russian citizen who was injured in the attack. The cargo ship sank after the impact.
