The military of the 29th army told about the liberation of Tolstoy in the DPR
Soldiers of the 36th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th army of the Vostok group of forces told the details of the liberation of the settlement of Tolstoy in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The relevant footage is published by Izvestia on July 10.
"All operations are carried out, let's say, in the dark. Under the drone suits. We gather a certain number of groups on the outskirts of the village, and then the assault begins," said a scout with the call sign Mekhan.
Drone operators also took part in the liberation of the village, striking at the coordinates sent by the marines. It is noted that during the performance of a combat mission, fighters sometimes decided to storm on their own if the situation required swift action.
They also managed to capture one Ukrainian serviceman. From him, the Russian fighters learned the call signs of the enemy's personnel, as well as the location.
"[When] we enter through the north, we will never talk about it over the radio. We use conventional signals through the forest — we enter through the east, west, and so on," the shooter with the call sign Winter told Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation liberated the settlement of Tolstoy on the afternoon of July 9. It was clarified that as a result of the action of the Russian Army group, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 205 militants and military equipment, including two tanks, an armored combat vehicle, 17 vehicles, and an electronic warfare (EW) station.
