UAC handed over new Su-34 aircraft to the Russian Defense Ministry
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec State Corporation) has handed over another batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was announced on July 10 by the press service of the state corporation.
"As part of the implementation of the targets set by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation for the supply of weapons and equipment to the troops, the crews of the Aerospace Forces have accepted another batch of Su-34 aircraft. The main advantage of these machines is their versatility, especially with regard to the range of weapons they can carry and perform combat missions," the military pilot said.
It is specified that the planes were sent to the fleet of operational and tactical aviation of the Russian Air Force. Before that, the combat vehicles had passed a full cycle of factory tests. Their performance has been tested in various modes.
The Su-34s were manufactured as part of the implementation of the state defense order for 2025.
"We maintain a high rate of aircraft production. And this year we plan to further increase the volume of production of combat vehicles," said Vadim Badekha, Director General of the UAC.
The Su-34 fighter-bomber is designed to destroy ground, surface and air targets. It can also be involved in attacks on infrastructure protected by air defense systems.
On June 25, the UAC handed over a batch of new Su-35S fighters to the Russian Defense Ministry. The aircraft is designed to destroy ground and surface objects at any time of the day, as well as to operate in difficult weather conditions at great distances from the home airfield.
