3 tons of sodium hypochlorite were brought to Dagestan for disinfection of water
Starting from July 10, water and water supply systems will be cleaned with 3 tons of sodium hypochlorite in several villages of Dagestan. This was announced on July 9 by the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Dagestan.
"An important warning for residents of the villages of Jepel, Mugergan, Gilyar, Kuysun, Magaramkent and Gaptakh <...> The Ministry of Construction of Dagestan will organize the delivery of sodium hypochlorite (3 tons) for disinfection of water and water supply systems by the municipal unitary enterprise (Municipal unitary enterprise) of housing and communal services (housing and communal services) of the Magaramkentsky district," the message published in the Telegram channel of the department said.
It is noted that as a result of an examination by specialists of the Ministry of Construction of Dagestan, violations of the operation of water supply systems were found.
During the cleaning of the water supply system, the agency banned the use of water for drinking, cooking and for technical purposes.
Earlier, on July 8, 110 people with symptoms of intestinal infection applied to the Central District Hospital of the Magaramkentsky district of Dagestan. On the same day, it was reported that most of the victims of the infection were children. It was established that the victims drank water that was supplied to the houses through water supply lines. A criminal case has also been opened into the incident.
Later, the director of the municipal institution of the Magaramkent district was detained. A sanitary and epidemiological examination was ordered as part of the criminal case. It is specified that after poisoning with water in the Republic of Dagestan, 274 people turned to doctors.
