A court in Moscow has arrested in absentia the founder of Medusa (recognized as a foreign agent and an undesirable organization in the Russian Federation) Galina Timchenko (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) for two months. This was reported on July 9 in the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

"The investigator's request for a preventive measure in the form of detention has been granted in respect of Galina Viktorovna Timchenko, accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 284.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Carrying out activities of a foreign or international organization against which a decision has been taken to declare its activities undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation")," it follows from a post in the Telegram channel.
