The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage of Tolstoy's release in the DPR

Motorized rifle units of the 26th Guards Motorized Rifle brigade of the Vostok group of forces, as a result of rocket artillery fire, broke through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) before the liberation of the village of Tolstoy in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Footage of the battles for the settlement on July 9 is published by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

During the operation, the Russian military managed to gain a foothold on the outskirts of Tolstoy. The assault groups eliminated the firing points and strongholds of the Ukrainian militants.

According to the Ministry of Defense, drone operators of the motorized rifle brigade played a special role in the assault. It is specified that they conducted aerial reconnaissance and hit enemy reserves.

"More than 10 units of military equipment, an electronic warfare station, as well as personnel of Ukrainian militants were destroyed by our drones," the ministry stressed.

To do this, the drones had to break through the electronic jamming zones.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation liberated the settlement of Tolstoy on the afternoon of July 9th. It was clarified that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 205 militants and military equipment, including two tanks, an armored combat vehicle, 17 vehicles, and an electronic warfare (EW) station.
