A court in Surgut (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug) has issued a verdict against the manager of the Johnny Tuna sushi bar. In September 2024, 18 people were poisoned there after ordering rolls.

As told to the news agency "Hurrah.According to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, the manager was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 1 year. He was found guilty under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules, resulting in mass illness of children."

The agency notes that 11 of the 18 victims were children.

Earlier it was reported that 94 people were poisoned at the Yugra cardiological center. 68 of them were hospitalized in the infectious diseases hospital of Surgut District Clinical Hospital. According to preliminary data, the source of infection was food in the food store.
