High-tech medicine, education, IT development and industrial technologies have become the most popular areas of the Academy of Innovators program. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, summing up the results of two years of its work since its restart.
The Moscow Academy of Innovators program for Technology Business unites 36,000 people from 79 Russian regions and 40 countries. The total revenue of the projects in 2024 amounted to more than 1 billion rubles, the total amount of attracted investments and grants — more than 650 million rubles, Sobyanin said.
"The support of talented developers and the creation of conditions for the implementation of breakthrough ideas is the key to the development of the economy of our city and the whole country," the mayor of the capital emphasized in the Telegram channel.
Among the developments of the academy's innovators is a platform that helps large companies monitor network security, a digital freight forwarder, and other projects. Participants in one of the academy's streams created a company that became Russia's first developer and manufacturer of outdoor digital panels capable of working underwater.
Sobyanin noted that 48% of the total number of applicants for the program are young people aged 14 to 35 years. He recalled that applications for the seventh stream will be accepted until September 10.
In June, the selection of participants in the sixth stream of the Academy of Innovators educational program was completed. Based on the results of the application campaign, the experts selected the 100 most promising projects, the authors of which will continue to work under the guidance of personal mentors.
