Igor Poklad, the composer of music for the animated series "Cossacks", has died in Ukraine.

The Soviet and Ukrainian composer Igor Poklad died in Ukraine at the age of 83. This was announced on July 9 by his wife Svetlana.

"I have loved, I love, and I will always love. Pray for Igor Dmitrievich, please. For his immortal soul," she wrote on Facebook (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

The composer was born in 1941 in Bishkek. After the end of the Great Patriotic War in 1945, he and his family returned to the Ukrainian SSR.

Poklad wrote more than 150 songs. For the most part, he composed compositions for cinema and theater. He is known for his music for the series of animated films "Cossacks".
