Russian tennis player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova lost in the semifinals of the Wimbledon tournament in London on Tuesday, July 8.

The Russian woman confronted the American athlete Amanda Anisimova, losing to her with a score 1:6, 6:7 (9:11). The game lasted 1 hour and 39 minutes.

In the match, Pavlyuchenkova made only five double faults, and also made one break point out of five earned. At the same time, the athlete never served straight.

According to Sport-Express, Anisimova will now compete in the finals with an athlete from Belarus, Arina Sobolenko.

On July 7, Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev was defeated in the fourth round of the Wimbledon tournament against the current champion of the competition from Spain, Carlos Alcaraz. It was clarified that the score in the personal meetings of the tennis players was 3:1 in favor of the Spanish athlete.
