After the investigation of the Izvestia TV channel, the head of Rosaccreditation, Nazari Skrypnik, resigned on Tuesday, July 8.

As the TV channel's correspondents found out, special laboratories accountable to Rosaccreditation issued fictitious SBCTS — certificates of safety of vehicle construction in Russia. Every car must receive this document. So, during the investigation it became known that for only 30 thousand it is possible to recognize a car that is broken beyond recognition as safe.

"It doesn't matter if they were broken and were at auction in the United States, or if they were in the parking lot of the Izvestia newspaper. But organizations controlled by Rosaccreditation issued such documents without any problems," said Anton Shaparin, Vice president of the National Automobile Union.

Fraudulent schemes with car certification continue to operate, and the new head of the service will have to solve the problem.

According to Vice-president of the National Automobile Union Yang Haicer, the inspection results were received in a minute, although the inspection should take 30-40 minutes to obtain a certificate.

"And such documents were stamped one after another. It is quite obvious that this was an absolute forgery. Accordingly, the head of Rosaccreditation could not have been unaware," said Vice President of the National Automobile Union Jan Heitser.
