Russian citizens are the mainstay of Abkhazia's tourist flow. This was reported on July 8 in the press service of the Ministry of Tourism of Abkhazia.

"Citizens of the Russian Federation visiting our country do not and cannot pose a threat to the national security of the Republic of Abkhazia. On the contrary, they are the basis of the tourist flow and have remained the most important guests of our republic for many years," the Telegram channel says.

According to the agency, the external tourist flow increases activity in related sectors of the economy, which creates healthy competition and improves the quality of the service provided.

In addition, it is noted that Russian tour operators played a significant role in generating interest in Abkhazia, as they promoted the republic beyond its borders.
