Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, called the Russia festival on July 8. Joining Hearts" is a significant event, as these days more than 200 Russians will tie the knot.

According to him, the support of a large and strong extended family is a priority of the Russian government.

"This is a question of the future of the Russian people. And therefore, in this area it is important for us to continue to effectively build demographic, economic, and social policy measures and strengthen constructive cooperation between authorities at all levels, public and religious associations," Kiriyenko said.

As Anna Tsivileva, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, emphasized, it is Russian families that help preserve true traditions and values in the country.

"When a new family is created, it's not just two people who love each other who unite, it's also parents, relatives, and friends from each side. <...> This is how we can preserve the true traditions of our country, our moral values, and the moral foundations of our state," said Tsivileva.

On the first day of the festival, more than 150 couples got married on Family Day. The event is taking place at the Rossiya National Center in Moscow from July 8-10, 2025.
