In order to save money, some drivers switch to using regular water instead of a special washing liquid, which harms the car. This was announced on July 8 by Alexander Homan, head of the Paveletskaya Fit Service, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

Impurities and sediment in the water contribute to the formation of stone on the walls of tanks and hoses in the car system, which leads to the failure of the headlight washer and windshield pumps, the expert explained.

"It is best to use a special summer washing liquid in the summer instead of "frost-free" and ordinary water. The liquid perfectly copes with insect tracks on the windshield, protects against scratches on the glass from the movement of brushes and protects all parts of the glass washing system," advised Homan.

The specialist also noted that in the warmer months, there are many people on the roadsides who want to earn extra money by refueling car air conditioners. Such roadside craftsmen do not comply with all technologies, since compressors require refueling with oil, and not just adding freon "by eye," the expert pointed out. The air conditioning system should be serviced at least once every three years with flushing, disinfection, washing and cleaning of drains under the frill, he recommended.
